About Cate

I started walking dogs because I knew I wanted to work with animals. However, when I started in 2021 I had no idea that I would love it as much as I do. I get to spend my work days making animals happy, which is a dream come true in my book.

My first priority when working with animals is always safety, which is why I always take dogs on solo trial walks before introducing them to the group. I’m also certified in Dog & Cat first aid and CPR by the American Red Cross. My second priority is making sure your pet has fun.

Throughout my pet care career I’ve met animals of all different temperaments. It is important for me to get to know your pet so I can make their time with me as fun and enriching as possible. For example, I’ve seen many timid dogs come out of their shell when introduced to the right walking partner. One of my favorite parts of my job is learning all your pets’ lovely personality quirks!

I hope to meet you and your sweet boy or girl soon.

“Cate reliably walked our ebullient young yellow lab Luna three days a week, through rain, heat and snow. Cate’s manner was unfailingly gentle and welcoming, unflustered despite the very enthusiastic greeting she invariably received from Luna - an indication of the very positive experience Luna always had in store. On walks, Cate somehow manages to keep many pups in line without raising her voice. The experience was ideal for Luna, and for us.”
